The North captured a 45-24 victory in the 66th AHSAA North-South Football Classic, held at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile this Friday.
Behind three first quarter touchdowns and a second quarter field goal, the North stormed out to a 24-0 lead. In the second half, the South cut the lead to 24-14, but the North’s Jamar Moultrie of Hoover sealed the win with a 54-yard interception return for the clinching touchdown.
Game Most Valuable Players were Moultrie for the North and Highland Home’s C.J. May for the South. May had 8 tackles, a blocked punt, and 2 sacks on the night.
Sam Adams of Oxford served as head coach for the North, while Kenny King of Daphne served as head coach for the South.
