Alabama’s Langham Inducted to College Football Hall of Fame

Former Alabama defensive back Antonio Langham joined an impressive list of former Crimson Tide players to be inducted to the College Football Hall of Fame. His official induction took place during the 66th National Football Foundation (NFF) Annual Awards Dinner on December 10 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A native of Town Creek, Ala., Langham was a productive corner for the Crimson Tide from 1990-93 and finished his four-year career at Alabama with 141 tackles and a program-high 19 interceptions. He helped the Crimson Tide to 40 wins across four seasons, two SEC Western Division Championships, one SEC Championship, and one national title. He was named SEC Championship Most Valuable Player in the inaugural game in 1992, when the Crimson Tide defeated the Florida Gators 28-21.

Langham later became Alabama’s first winner of the Thorpe Award in 1993, an honor that goes to the nation’s top defensive back, and was selected as first team All-American in both 1992 and 1993. He played seven years in the NFL and was selected to the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.
