The Auburn Tigers are once again NCAA national champions in golf.
Auburn, ranked No. 1 in the country, never trailed in Wednesday’s NCAA Championship final, held at Omni LaCosta North Course in Carlsbad, California, and No. 23 UCLA 4-1 to capture the title.
“It brings tears to my eyes. I love them so much and I love Auburn and our program. I’m very grateful,” Auburn head golf coach Nick Clinard said. “Our guys just kept doing what they’re doing. We played some really good golf this week right from the start in the first round.”

Auburn advanced to the championship by defeating No. 15 Stanford 3-1-1 in the quarterfinals and No. 5 Oklahoma State 5-0 in the semifinals on Tuesday.
The win secured Auburn’s second collegiate golf title in three seasons. TG
