Christmas is just around the corner, but college basketball is serving up an early present this Saturday with an interesting SEC/Big Ten matchup. No. 2/2 Auburn Tigers (8-1, 0-0 SEC) will face the Ohio State Buckeyes (6-3, 0-0 Big Ten) at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Ga., as part of the annual “Holiday Hoopsgiving” event.
Auburn is coming off a 98-54 trouncing of Richmond at Neville Arena in Auburn, while Ohio State arrives with a fresh 80-66 victory over Rutgers at Value City Arena in Columbus. The Buckeyes are coached by Jake Diebler, who is in his first season as head coach at OSU.
This is Auburn’s fifth-straight appearance in Holiday Hoopsgiving, with the Tigers holding a 3-1 overall record.
