Alabama’s Tim Keenan III was named “Defensive Lineman of the Week” by the Southeastern Conference (SEC) after his performance against South Florida this past Saturday. Keenan III posted a career-high of nine tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss (-12 yards). He also recorded 1.5 sacks for -10 yards and one quarterback hurry.
The performance led the Crimson Tide in both tackles for loss and sacks, and were career bests for Keenan III.
The honor is the first for the junior lineman and the third for the Crimson Tide this season. After Week 1, Alabama safety Keon Sabb was named Defensive Player of the Week and receiver Ryan Williams was named Co-Freshman of the Week.
Alabama travels to Wisconsin this weekend for a matchup against the Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. TG
