This weekend, the NCAA is hosting three events in Tampa, Fla., as part of championship week, and UA graduates Sarah Ashlee Barker, Zaay Green, and Aaliyah Nye will represent the Tide across all three events. Barker will participate in the “So You Want to be a Coach” program, Green will play in the All-Star Game, and Nye will participate in both the Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships.

Sarah Ashlee Barker – “So You Want to be a Coach” Program
Date: Thursday, April 3 – Friday, April 4
Location: Tampa, Fla.
Event Details:
Hosted by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, this is the 22nd class of the program. The event is meant to increase the understanding and application of skills necessary to secure coaching positions in women’s basketball.

Zaay Green – Women’s College All-Star Game
Date: Saturday, April 5
Location: Tampa, Fla.
Time: 2 p.m. CT

Event Details:
The game is played by the nation’s top 20 players, and pits Team Leiberman versus Team Miller. The final rosters will be announced later this week.

Aaliyah Nye – Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships
Date: Thursday, April 3
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Time: 6 p.m. CT

Event Details:
Nye will participate in the 36th annual Slam Dunk and 3-Point Contest. The events are played by the nation’s best men’s and women’s college players. The winners of the 3-Point championship will compete in the Sketchers Battle of Champions.
Barker, Green, and Nye led Alabama to a 24-9 overall record (10-6 SEC) in 2024-25. The Tide finished the season with a second-round loss to Maryland in the NCAA tournament. TG
