Morgan Kidd says her mother inspires her daily with an overwhelming amount of wisdom. “Do your personal best, and let God do the rest,” is just one of the messages Kim Kidd has imparted to her daughter throughout the years. Kim and her husband, Kevin, have been married for over 30 years and their daily encouragement is part of what’s carried Morgan as a Crimsonette at The University of Alabama.
“All my life, I have had such impactful support from my family,” Morgan says. “My family is a huge part of my life.”
Originally from Gadsden, Morgan graduated from Westbook Christian High School and is now a senior at Alabama studying marketing. Though she hopes to one day work as a digital and social media marketing specialist, Morgan says her ultimate goal is to grow a family as a wife and mother—“I believe that is my true calling,” she says.
Morgan loves the sisterhood that accompanies being a Crimsonette. “No matter whether you are a current Crimsonette or an alumna, there is always a strong bond you share. The memories you create together are like none other. Once a Crimsonette, always a Crimsonette!”
Recently, Morgan’s family expanded even more when her older sister Ashley and her husband, Jake, had their first child, a beautiful baby girl named Cassidy. Morgan says the family is “over the moon” and she’s elated to become an aunt for the first time.
While her circle continues to expand, Morgan will continue to be guided by two principles—faith and family—principles that were instilled in her at an early age by Kevin and Kim.
“They never fail to wear the pin, come to games, and make every moment last,” Morgan says of her parents. “The little things matter, and they always show up and make me feel so loved and special. I’m so blessed to have consistent role models that not only motivate me but make me a better person. I’m so thankful for them and I don’t take them for granted.”
So, look for Morgan on Saturdays in fall. She’ll be the one giving her all—and letting God take it from there. TG
