Alabama’s Kadyn Proctor and Ty Simpson each earned Player of the Week honors, the Southeastern Conference league office announced on Monday morning.
Proctor was named SEC co-offensive lineman of the week, while Simpson shared co-offensive player of the week distinction. The honor is the second of Proctor’s career and the first for Simpson, raising the Crimson Tide’s total to three weekly awards on the 2025 season. Proctor played every snap at left tackle against the fifth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs and graded out at a team-high 89 percent by the Crimson Tide coaching staff. He did not allow a pressure or a sack on the night and electrified the ‘Bama faithful at Sanford Stadium with an 11-yard reception for a first down.

Simpson, on the other hand, accounted for three total touchdowns and finished 24-of 38 passing for 276 yards and two touchdowns in the 24-21 win. He added four rushes for 12 yards and a rushing touchdown. The ‘Bama quarterback played a major role in the Crimson Tide converting 13-of-19 third downs on the night, the most against UGA by any team in the last 30 seasons.
The Tide takes on Vanderbilt this Saturday at 2:30 p.m in Tuscaloosa. TG
