Five former University of Alabama golfers will compete in this weekend’s PGA TOUR calendar event, The Players. These golfers include Davis Riley, Justin Thomas, Bud Cauley, Nick Dunlap, and Trey Mullinax.
Although The Players has never been deemed an official major event, it is often referred to as the “fifth major” and is seen as one of the most reputable and respected events of the PGA season.
The tournament will take place March 13 – 16 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, Fla.

- Will tee off his seventh PGA TOUR event of the season, having made six previous cuts
- Owns a pair of top 25 finishes including a season-best t10th at the Sony Open in Hawaii
Trey Mullinax

Group: Ryo Hisatsune, Laurie Canter
- Ranked No. 105 in the FedEx Cup Standings and No. 414 in the OWGR
- Finished t16th at last weekend’s Puerto Rico Open where he finished at 15-under par 273
