Lynleigh Cobb has always had basketball in her blood. Growing up with her mom, Becky Cobb, a dedicated basketball coach, it’s no surprise that Lynleigh fell in love with the sport early on.
But her athleticism didn’t stop there. Volleyball and track soon captured her attention, and Lynleigh became a force in all three sports.
In basketball, Lynleigh plays shooting guard and post for her mom, who has coached her through every phase of her life—“It’s been so special to share that with her,” Lynleigh reflects.

But when it comes to her true passion, it’s volleyball that holds her heart.
“From the moment I started, it just felt like the right fit,” she says. “I love practicing, playing, and even working when we’re not in season—it never gets old.”
That passion has propelled her to All-State first-team honors in volleyball, to score over 1,400 points for her career in basketball, and to finish third in the state for javelin, all while being named Daily Mountain Eagle Elite Player of the Year.
Lynleigh’s success doesn’t stop on the court or field. With a 4.29 GPA, she’s a natural leader at school and serves as an officer in the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) and Vice President of Future Teachers of America. She also serves in the Beta Club, Key Club, and Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).
But it’s the deep desire to help others that truly defines her. “I’ve always known I wanted a career where I could make a real difference,” she says. “Helping babies and kids feels like the perfect fit for me, so I’m aiming for a career in labor and delivery nursing.”
Whether leading her teams to victory, excelling in her academics, or preparing for a career dedicated to others, Lynleigh is just getting started, and it’s clear that her future will be nothing short of extraordinary. TG
