Alabama’s Ty Simpson was named the Southeastern Conference’s Offensive Player of the Week by the league office after his performance against Missouri on Saturday.
The quarterback led the team to its third consecutive top-25 win as the Tide downed the 14th-ranked Tigers, 27-24, at Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium in Columbia, Mo.
Simpson finished 23-of-31 on the afternoon for 200 yards and three scores through the air. He connected with nine total targets and added a 20-yard rush to the Alabama ground game. He also completed three passes on fourth down to help the Tide finish a perfect 3-of-3, including the Tide’s final touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
The accolade is the second for Simpson in the last three weeks, raising the Tide’s total to six weekly awards in the 2025 season. TG
