Don’t look now, but the South Alabama Jaguars are making their third-straight bowl appearance. The Jaguars (6-6, 5-3 in the Sun Belt Conference) will face Western Michigan (6-6, 5-3 in the Mid-American Conference) on Saturday, December 14 in the 2024 IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama. This is the fifth all-time bowl appearance for South Alabama, a program that has only been in existence since 2009.
Jaguars head football coach Major Applewhite is the first head coach in program history to lead the team to a bowl game in his first season as head coach.

*First bowl appearance for South Alabama in program history
The game will open the 2024 college football bowl season and will mark the first-ever meeting between the Jaguars and the Broncos.
