Alabama Wins Fourth Straight Against the ‘Cats

The Alabama Crimson Tide basketball team (11-3, 1-0 SEC) rang in the New Year with its fourth straight win over Kentucky—an 89-74 dispatching at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa. The victory marks the longest winning streak against the Wildcats in Alabama program history.

Star guards Aden Holloway (26) and Labaron Philon Jr. (17) combined for 43 points, while three others had double figures: Houston Mallette had 14, Amari Allen had 11, and Noah Williamson chipped in 10. Holloway’s performance matched a career high he set last Monday versus Yale.

“Great win to start off SEC play. Obviously, Kentucky has a great basketball tradition with a ton of talent on that team,” said Alabama head coach Nate Oats.
